Christ Church is first and foremost a Christian church; we believe the Bible is God’s word and we seek to follow Jesus Christ and love one another.

However, that’s true of lots of Christian churches, and yet differences remain! So in the spirit of clarity, it’s also worth saying that Christ Church is:

• a conservative evangelical church. We belong to the Midlands Gospel Partnership, a group of evangelical churches from different denominations; if you want a good one-page summary of what we believe, look no further than their Doctrinal Basis.

• a Presbyterian church. We belong to the International Presbyterian Church (IPC), a small but growing denomination in the UK, Europe and East Asia. As Presbyterians, our official statement of faith are the Westminster Standards (Westminster Confession, as well as the Shorter and Larger catechisms)
